We are in receipt of your letter of yesterday's date, and,

after consultation with our Soliciters, it seeme to us that the

matter appears to be one in which the consent of His Excellency the

Governor should be asked for to enable us to apply to the

Court for directions.

We presume you will approve of our taking this course

especially as we shall see you get full notice of our application and

a consequent opportunity of appearing before the Judge.

We note you wish us to clearly understand your Bank has no

intention of laying claim to property to which they have not a legal

title, and we should be glad to think you would not give us credit for placing the facts before you as we did in our letter of 20th ultimo

had we assumed your Bank would act in any other manner.

On the other hand, we cannot but regard your approaching the

Attorney General in this matter, as you inform us you have done,

without notice to us as Liquidators, as quite fair, unless you inform

us what took place at the interview.
